Have you tried this? Your RAS never fails.

Someone recently asked ,how do you get inspired when you don’t know what to write ?
Anyway, Love explaining my little theory…  about better blog writing .

What about you? Do you struggle in this important activity?
It’s true , Rome wasn’t built in a day so, at least here me out.

This is my cure to your writing dilemma ....

Truth is ….don’t get caught in that fear of “what to write trap” because that’s one way to weaken your writing mojo.

Funny enough.

Surprisingly even an old timer...  like me can show you how to unleash your creative power.

Believe it or not... the answer lies in a bunch of nerves that are located somewhere between
the Medullla Oblongata and Mesencephalon.

GO TO BELOW SITE FOR MORE INFO ON RAS

Psychologists refer to this sensation as our RAS = RETICULAR ACTIVATING SYSTEM

It’s main function is to filter out what you’re hearing and what’s in your subconscious mind.

Similar to how a secretary filters out the nuisance phone calls to prevent the Company Executive from getting interrupted.

It goes without saying that we are all consumers by nature.

For instance.

You want to buy a luxury car and research everything about it online.

The next day you might  be driving on the way to work and that same car you were looking for starts appearing just everywhere.

You see those cars would have been there anyway.

It’s your RAS that hones in on that vehicle.

So how does this relate to Marketing , especially writing blogs ?

Well basically if you want to get good at this skill just like me you need a trigger point.
A couple of years ago I decided to get good at email Marketing.

So I began to start listening to other Marketing Guru’s podcasts so I could learn to master this skill.

Basically all you have to do is start with an idea and  every time you’d be randomly doing an activity like

Chatting to a friend
be driving, or doing the gardening

And all of a sudden ideas will just start popping into your head.

So yep no need to struggle writing content anymore my padawan …..  as all the answers lie in your RAS.

Cheers & Have a great day!

Do you suffer from habitual paralysis?

There is an old saying ,don’t fix it if ain’t  broke.

For most it's far easier to carry on doing the same thing over and over.

Even if there is a better way , we resist.

Ultimately that's the way our brains are hardwired.

We are creatures of habit. Some are good - some are bad.

Why change something that’s been done the same way for years.

Case example when the Australian government introduced the $2 coin back in 1989 it created such backlash.

Eventually we all got used to it.

Truth is..

we don’t need to invest our time anticipating the next disaster

the emotional overload is not worth it.

Most of all our best work is done when we give our minds plenty of space.

Oh no My wife uttered these 3 words again….

Lately…..
I’ve had  some of the worst  days of my life.

Things had just gone from bad to worse
and then from worse to a total disaster...

It was bad enough being made redundant once but who would of thought of twice in the space of just 2 months.

So rather than blame the economy like most people do I’ve reassessed things…

  1. I’ve acknowledged that  working for others is not what I’m best at.
  2. There is always a Silver lining

So my wife sat me down and said Carlo it might be time for you to "GET A REAL JOB!"

Well I agree with her that’s the obvious solution to this dire predicament.

But I knew I could fix this.

Fast....

So I figured, who can I ask for some guidance?

I turned to a good friend BIG Al Connolly. Go here to check out his profile

Happens that Allan has been voted 3 times as the most influential Small Business person in Perth.

And within a blink of an eye I was chatting to a potentially new client.

The lesson here today is never under estimate the power of association.

So I’ll never stop giving up on my dreams so I encourage you to do the same.

Sometimes we think we fail in life and in business. But as famous Motivational speaker Denis Waitley once said we can turn failure into fertiliser.

Remarkable turrnaround.. after shocking trip to the VET

Have you been there? when you are faced to make a gut wrenching decision.

Well in a nutshell this story is a triumph over tragedy.

Still gives me goose bumps when I cast my mind back to this anxious moment. Even though it happened in May 2013 it still feels like yesterday.

For about 3 days our dog Holly was in so much pain that the very act of walking was proving uncomfortable. That Sunday night I dropped her off, to the 24 hour Vet hospital hoping for a miraculous recovery… but instead it proved to be a nightmare.

Overnight tests weren’t promising to say the least which left us in the dark as to what to do next. The shocking news was that unless we spent an exorbitant amount of money like $8000 she would be put down.

Fast forward the next day and we were running out of time to make a vital decision. So courageously my wife Silvana whisked poor Holly away from that place to get a 2nd opinion.

Luckily she managed to get an immediate appointment with our trusted Vet.

The vet sensed it was do-or die situation so immediately we rushed off to the ultrasound clinic for a proper diagnosis.

Thankfully they discovered the problem. An Apricot pip was found in her intestine! How on earth did she manage to swallow that? What a stroke of luck – we are now in heaven!

The best part is 2 little girls were the happiest kids in the world.

What Is Truth?

Pontius Pilate was the prefect of the Roman province of Judea AD 26-36. He is most known for the trial and crucifixion of Christ. Pilate asked him (Jesus), “So you are a king?” Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. For this I was born, and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone who belongs to the truth listens to my voice.” Pilate asked him, “What is truth?” (John 18: 37-38). After asking that profound question, Pilate did not wait for a reply; he simply walked away. As was true then, we often ask “What is truth?” Like Pilate, we often consider it a rhetorical question. We do not expect an answer. We also walk away because we believe that truth is not the same for everyone. Yet, we seem to recognize the truth, when we hear it. At least, we believe we can recognize it. How can we know the truth about God? Here is an excerpt from A Journey Toward Perfection, which addresses that question:
"The life of the man called Jesus of Nazareth is well documented not only by Biblical sources, but also by Jewish and Roman historians and scholars. Various ancient writings verify that He lived 2,000 years ago and was crucified with criminals. His brief three year ministry changed the world forever. Was He a prophet, a wise man, a good man, or actually the Son of God as He claimed? What was it about this man that caused so many to follow Him and even be willing to die for Him? Those who believe Jesus was simply a good man, wise man or a prophet must still be able to explain why He would claim to be the Son of God. This contradicts sound judgment. Today, a man who might claim to be the Son of God would be considered mentally unstable, at the very least, possibly even insane. Jesus is an enigma to many, yet to Christians, He is the Son of God, part of the Godhead, part of the Holy Trinity. This is difficult for our limited minds to fathom, yet as Christians, this is our faith. We believe that Christ was fully God and fully man, our Creator and our Savior.
During His three-year ministry, the disciples traveled with Him day and night. They knew Him intimately, and they believed His claims. They believed that Christ was God, one person of the Trinity. The disciples believed Him so faithfully that they willingly died horrible deaths rather than renounce their faith. They believed He rose from the dead on the third day. They claimed to have seen Him bodily after His resurrection, not as a spirit, and claimed to have eaten and drank with Him. If the Roman and Jewish leaders wanted to dispel the rumors that Christ rose from the dead, and thereby crush the Christian movement, all they had to do was to produce His dead body, yet they never could. At first, some claimed that the disciples stole His body, but this would have been impossible with Roman Centurions posted to guard the tomb.  Besides, would anyone be willing to die for what they knew to be a lie? This rumor simply faded away. Instead, the martyred disciples were the lights of the world that ignited a fire that burns to this day.
To unbelievers, the resurrection and Christ’s claim to be the Son of God must be the greatest lies ever perpetrated by one man. To Christians, Jesus is the light to which we are all drawn. He is the light that gives us hope. He is the light, which even unwittingly draws unbelievers. That light is centered on love; “He that loveth not, knoweth not God; for God is love” (I John 4:8). Even unbelievers acknowledge the power of love. God is the source of love. But why would an all-knowing God descend from His throne of glory to become a man in a world full of evil, knowing He would be rejected and even crucified? Christ became man to save us from the curse of sin and to offer us the gift of eternal life. He became a man to allow us to “see” God or to know Him, to invite us into a relationship with Him, and to teach us how to love by being a role model for us.
God dwells in a distant place, in a spiritual dimension. He is not of this world. We cannot experience Him through our physical senses. Only certain prophets had firsthand knowledge of God because He chose them. According to scriptural accounts, He spoke to them, sometimes audibly, and sometimes through angels, dreams or visions. When Christ became man, He entered our dimension, our reality. The more we understand Christ, the better we understand God. Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us. Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? He that hath seen me hath seen the Father” (John 14:8-9). By getting to know Christ, we can know God!"
