Attached Identity

Without stillness there’s attachment to an identity that needs to make existence about something in particular. Beyond this identity is true existence…

Here’s something to sit with: our entire existence is centered around an identify that separates us from each other. We are named for this purpose and what happens is we attach to the name and it becomes who and what we think we are. And the more this identity is reinforced the more separation it creates from others. What this identity does is it limits us from knowing our true essence of existence. When we can see beyond the limited attachment to this identity, we understand our existence at such a deeper level. What happens then is there is no separation from others, there is only unity. So when I see you I see me, but I don’t really see a you or a me because that would separate us.

We can never be truly separate from each other because all existence is from the same energy. We are created from love for the betterment of the Universe. Not in the form of doing, but by Being. When we use our name because that’s what’s used by society for order, we don’t have to attach to it so we don’t make it who and what we are. When this is done we will know the essence of stillness within that allows for a quietness to just be with life without the need to make it about anything. That’s when we’ll truly love because it will be the only thing that’s there…

The Way That It Is

If you’re not being controlled by things from the outside, therein lies your freedom. But it isn’t freedom because life is the way that it’s wanted, there’s freedom because you’re with life the way that it is…

The operating system that controls your life makes life what it is. It doesn’t make life what it is because life just is, it makes YOUR life what it is. Until the operating system in place puts you in harmony with life, there won’t be any and hence your life will be the way that it is because it’s the way you are making it. It’s actually a beautiful thing once there’s awareness of this because it puts your life in your hands; there’s nothing more that a person could ask. When you’re not being controlled by things from the outside therein lies your freedom. But it isn’t freedom because life is the way that it’s wanted, there’s freedom because you’re with life the way that it is.

What happens with the mind that has an operating system not based in love is it gets hijacked by its own conditioning; you’re held hostage by your own mind. I know this sounds crazy, but this is exactly what happens and it’s all because of an operating system based to self serve. If the operating system is based in a me, me, me mind crazy is the norm or so it seems, but it’s only because of the operating system. When the operating system changes the craziness subsides. So when you sit and see what the base of your actions are you just may be able to change them. It will take some time though because of the conditioning in place, but the alternative is to remain the way that you are; being controlled by operating system that holds you hostage…

Thought Process

It’s your own mind through your thought process that makes life what it is. Your mind creates your entire world through the possessiveness of your thoughts…

There are things that one would rather not happen, but they do. They have to be accepted or there will never be peace in one’s life. At least to where one can be with what is happening instead of getting bogged down in pushing it away. Although the small stuff can seem difficult, the life altering things can seem devastating if there isn’t an awareness of how it’s the Conditioned Mind that makes this so. Loss of loved ones, homes destroyed; along with all our possessions and memories, accidents, illnesses, these are just some of the occurrences that can alter our state if they’re not accepted for what they are; and what they are is nothing but a thought.

Life occurs and through your thought process things appear as the mind makes them appear. There is nothing to life except what the Conditioned Mind makes it out to be. Our own mind uses a thought process to create an entire existence that is only real to itself. The more life is lived in this manner, the more difficult it is to accept the daily occurrences. This lack of acceptance only occurs because of the lack of understanding of your own mind. It’s your own mind that creates the appearance that life is difficult and this happens because you’re trapped in the thought process that everything is as it appears, but only because your mind has been conditioned to do so…

Spiritual Nonsense

Sit often and watch your thoughts come and go, eventually there will be more and more space between them. It’s in this space that you will see all the spiritual nonsense holding you captive…

With the emergence of the internet there’s so much information available on spirituality that it really needs to be investigated before considering what to use in your development. Here is the definition of Nonsense:

  1. Words or signs having no intelligible meaning.
  2. Subject matter, behavior, or language that is foolish or absurd.
  3. Extravagant foolishness or frivolity

To see if the information you‘re using to develop the direction or path you are on is authentic and truly beneficial, there can’t be anything associated with it that forms attachment. Methods, programs, guru’s, life coaches, teachers, or any other form of nonsense that is used to keep you attached, just keeps you in bondage to the very thing you‘re trying to break free of. Just as there’s a lot of “fake news” out there today, there’s also a lot of fake information on spirituality. Bondage is not something that’s truly understood by many people and so most of the information out there is nonsense to keep you in bondage in some way.

The only thing one needs to do is look within so one millisecond of space is created between your thoughts. Once this occurs and there’s awareness of it, more and more space will slowly creep in. It takes nothing but awareness to expand this space. The nonsense out there that someone’s program, book, method or whatever has your answer will keep you in bondage to the very thing you trying to break from. I know people defend their so called guru or people they follow adamantly, but it’s only because there’s no awareness of the bondage they’re in. Sit often and just watch the thoughts come and go, eventually there will be more and more space between them. It’s in this space that you will see all the spiritual nonsense holding you in captivity…

Undisciplined Desires

The undisciplined mind creates a view based in the desires of the world. It’s difficult to break this spell because most of what goes on in our daily lives reinforces the undisciplined desires. A free mind doesn’t desire the world…

I understand the struggles with life have nothing to do with life. It’s my view based in the world of undisciplined desires that causes my struggle because this view is controlled by the undisciplined mind. When desires are fulfilled and things are going my way, there’s not much of a struggle; life is considered good. And when things are going my way I forget about what causes life to be a struggle. When I do this it makes my base centered in the world of undisciplined desires and I get pulled around by my undisciplined mind and become its puppet.

The more this occurs the more suffering there is in my life. Sometimes it is very subtle, but its there. As a matter of fact even if I’m aware of being controlled by an undisciplined mind, it still produces suffering. The suffering doesn’t occur if I don’t get what I want, it occurs just by being in a state where the undisciplined mind is in control.

The less I allow the world of undisciplined desires (which is just me wanting what I want, when I want it) to be the base of my view, the less I struggle with myself and with life. This is simply because undisciplined desires aren’t in control. But when I forget this and the undisciplined mind is creating chaos by desiring, I suffer immensely. Desire less, suffer less, but only when an undisciplined mind develops discipline…

Intellectually Stuck

If a person is stuck in an intellectual based world they’ll be controlled by an intellectual based existence. This is a prison that you will only be released from by going beyond your intellectual thoughts into the realm of silence…

It’s impossible to be stuck in an intellectual existence that isn’t created by your own mind. What this means is regardless of what happens, it’s your minds intellectual thoughts that create your conditioning; this comes from within yourself. Lots of things happen throughout the day and each time there’s a choice to intellectualize it or not. Everyone has the ability within to cease causing their own conditioning, it just takes a certain amount of discipline for this to occur. What discipline does is it slows down the intellectualizing process that runs continuously. This slowing down is the beginning of truth being revealed. Without it the necessary silence that allows less intellectualizing will not happen.

If there’s continuous intellectualizing
and no silence all there will be is thought and this will not allow the ability to watch the moment unfold. If this isn’t seen your mind will never slow down and there won’t be any space created between your intellectual thoughts. Life will simply be intellectually based and the result of this will create your conditioning. When life slows down you’ll see how it’s your own mind that takes something that happens and puts it into a conditioned category. When you see this you can break free of the hold your mind has over you and you will be able to see that you’re not your intellectual thoughts; you’re beyond this thought based existence…

Unconsciously Imperfect

Waking up doesn’t make you perfect, but it does give you awareness of your unconscious imperfections in place. And when you’re aware of the harm unconsciousness causes, letting go of its imperfections naturally occurs…

It’s pretty crazy the way life is. It’s something that can’t really be figured out, but I wouldn’t change anything about it even with all the unconscious suffering that went on for years. The best thing about my life is all the love that I’m surrounded by. To me in the end if anything really matters it will be this. At age twenty eight I stopped using alcohol and drugs as a coping mechanism, four years later I got married which is over thirty years ago. Although that in and of itself is amazing, at the age of thirty two my father saw a son who caused him years of worrying finally begin to grow up. I was not a burden to him or to my mother any longer. Mom died a few years back, my dad died some months after my wedding. Him seeing me get married is something I cherish to this day.

The part the gets me the most about being unconscious is the people it affects without any knowledge that it’s happening. From the friends I had growing up, to parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, strangers, and just about anyone else who there was contact with; being unconscious causes much harm. It’s why today I simply don’t want to hurt anyone, but because of the conditioning in place at times I still do. However the intervals between hurts are much further apart than ever before. The unloving energy of “I” is at the core of being unconscious, it actually is what makes one unconscious. And just because you may want to be loving, it doesn’t mean you will be, especially if there’s much unloving conditioning in place. Waking up doesn’t make you perfect, what it does do is it gives you the awareness of your unconscious imperfections in place and when there’s awareness of the harm it can cause, letting go of these imperfections naturally occurs, one unconscious imperfection at a time…

Discontent in Place

Although it seems what occurs in life is the cause of one’s arising discontent, this is not the case. The discontent that arises is already in place, if it wasn’t there’s no way it would arise…

You can only react to life with what you have in place. Something like anger arises because its been learned, this also goes for fear, greed, hate, and so on. I constantly reacted like this for many many years without any understanding whatsoever and it kept me locked into my discontent without any inkling that the only reason it was occurring was because it was in place. Simply put, when something occurred that I didn’t like my discontent arose without any knowledge as to why I reacted in the way that I did. What arose was whatever my conditioning deemed appropriate. The only reason this happened is because it was already there laying in wait: like a shark waiting to devour its unsuspecting prey.

Understanding this is where there is power in knowledge. If why your discontent isn’t understood, there will be very little true periods where the discontent is not in control. Awareness of what’s arising gives you something tangible to use to get beyond what arises. Why most people remain as they are and repeat the same reactions over and over is because of the lack of awareness of why it happens. To me this knowledge has immense value because when it’s seen one can truly decipher whether what’s in place is beneficial or not. At this point a course of action can be developed to change whatever’s in place that’s causing your discontent to rear its ugly head…

Quietness

The mind will only settle when there is quiet. You cannot do anything to be quiet, it arises from itself. When the intellectual mind stops intellectualizing, the internal urging will quiet in its own quietness….

When one truly awakens, there’s an understanding of quiet and how it relates to life. When this occurs there’s freedom because quietness arises naturally. We seek because of an internal urging for quiet which is what a true awakening reveals. This cannot be known intellectually. Intelligence is actually noise, quietness can only be known by being quiet. The lack of quiet makes life very mundane. It makes you less aware of the internal urging of quietness provided by the Universe. Without this awareness you cannot truly understand what the benefits of being quiet are. Understand though quietness is always there, it’s just not understood. Nothing is needed to experience quietness; the only way you can be quiet is to being quiet. Methods may be useful in learning to be quiet, but the only reason this is so is because the mind hasn’t been developed for quietness, it’s been developed to generate noise.

It’s a human fault to need to make life about something, but if something is needed, make it about being quietness. I know this because it’s the only thing that truly makes sense to me. It’s the only place where I don’t need to think and there is peace. Not to think is to be in a state of no mind and in this state is true peace. How can it not be peaceful in this state, there’s nothing to cause one to suffer. There’s no generated noise in the head. The quietness of I Am. Nothing more will ever be needed because in quiet is where everything arises from; unless you want to live by the generated noise in your head. Quietness is the ultimate truth, but even saying that is noise. Quietness of no mind is all that is, when one stops seeking it or trying to define it that’s when it arises…

Giving or Taking

It’s really very simple to understand the mind. It can be broken down into two mind states, giving or taking. Everyone who is alive will be guided by one or the other…

There’s a lot of stuff (thinking) that goes on between the ears that determines what mind state you will be guided by and when it’s broken down, you will be guided either giving or taking. To me everything that happens is the result of something previous so the results of living in a state of giving or taking are vastly different. This isn’t to apply a label that one is right and one is wrong, but if investigated it can be seen how giving produces results aligned with love, kindness, peace, harmony, joy, and taking aligns you with results of anger, greed, hate, unhappiness, discontent and do on. I had a mind of taking for many years and this resulted in much suffering in the form of feeling isolated and alone most of the time. As a result of this, I used many different things to try and not feel this way, but to no avail because not matter what, the taking mind state would always return.

Some years ago I began understanding the different results of these two mind states and started developing certain things that put me more in line with giving. A mind of taking is selfish in nature and produces selfish results; desirable results if you’re based in the material world. A mind of giving has no selfishness to it and the results prove this. This doesn’t mean the taking conditioning is gone for good, but it has lessened to a large degree and hence there is literally no more isolation in me. If the difference of these two mind states aren’t seen it seems the taking state controls more; it’s because of the influences of the material world that make this so. Even though by being alive you are part of the world, when you finally wake up what’s seen is you don’t have to allow the selfish collective mind state of taking to control you…

Truth/No Story Needed

Versions of truth cease to exist in the present moment because there’s no need to create them. And without a storied version of truth, it’s not necessary to decipher what‘s actually true…

Your story is only true in the sense that it’s your version of what’s true; deciphering if the content of your story is true is difficult. This is so because you are the creator of your story and you believe them wholeheartedly. This is what directs your energy and how life is lived. The thing to investigate is how many stories there are. There’s the parents story, the childhood one, the teen and young adult story. There’s the boy meets girl story, the get married story. The work story, family story, and on and on. There are so many stories and only one you. If you say all your stories are true you should be able to sense why it’s so difficult to see the true version. There’s the true version in there somewhere, but that’s probably the only story not written yet. When that one arises the written ones all fall away.

So how would a person know which one of their stories were true? My experience has been I know which one is true because there isn’t a need to create one. You see a true story arises it’s not created. It’s basically what’s there in the present moment. This is the value of using the body as an anchor for present moment living. The body doesn’t create stories, only the mind does so when the body is used to be present no story is needed. This is beautiful in its simplicity. Resonate with this and most stories will cease to exist because the need to create one won’t arise. And without a storied version of truth there’s no deciphering the truth of what actually is…

Less is More

While you’re busy making plans life happens. If you’re not careful most of your life will be missed because you’ll be too busy looking for more instead of understanding less is more…

The only thing that makes a person think something more is needed to enhance life is their own conditioning; until this is realized this conditioning will keep you searching for more. As this searching for more seems to be continuous for most, this means most are missing what life truly offers. If a person is alive life will be experienced. Ask yourself if your life is being fully lived or are you under the spell of your own Conditioned Mind that makes you think more is needed to enhance it? If needing more is the default setting of your mind and unfortunately it is for most, so much of life will be missed because you will constantly think you need more. This is a mind agitation that keeps the searching for more in place which doesn’t allow any contentment with what’s actually taking place.

Life is never personal, it just continues on regardless of what happens. Humanity has become its own worse enemy. Mostly because of always needing more instead being content with less. Grab more of whatever you think you need, but except for a few brief moments your contentment will be fleeting. Sit and visualize having all the riches of the world and being the most intelligent person to have ever lived and see what this really changes in your life. It will only be a matter of time before you will need more. If there isn’t some level of contentment with less, you will constantly need more and the search for more of what one thinks will make life better will make discontentment and searching for more the norm…

Conventional Suffering

The conventional way of the world is to cope with suffering by suffering. This is the programmed delusion in place that keeps one suffering by attaching to the belief that suffering must cause more suffering…

When you wake up and see the delusion of the attached programming that’s been put in place, it’s freeing, but only to the extent that the delusion is let go of. This basically means going against the conventional way that most people view life and although waking up doesn’t make a person special, it does make one seem odd or peculiar because they aren’t in line with the conventional way everyone else responds to life situations.

This writing stems from the fact that a woman I know is going through the stages of dementia. What has arisen in me is seeing how much suffering this situation is causing all those who are involved with it. Although the suffering is optional, it’s not seen in this way because of the conventional coping mechanisms caused by attaching to the delusional programming the world has in place; this is delusional thinking even though it seems in line with the world. Understanding this affords you the awareness of not being pulled into the suffering, but it’s perceived by others as though a person doesn’t care about what’s happening. Compassion has arisen in me for all those involved with this situation because of how it’s causing so many to suffer, but this compassion isn’t seen by those who are suffering.

It’s only the delusional programming of attachment that causes one to suffer with any situation. The conventional way of the world is to cope with suffering by suffering. It’s believed suffering must cause more suffering. And although the one who wakes up from the sleep of this programmed delusion may be looked upon by others as being peculiar, odd or not caring, the alternative is to attach to the conventional way of the programmed delusion that suffering has to cause more suffering. Insanity to say the least…

Agitated Lies

Truth makes a person look at themselves, all sorts of things arise when this happens. Most times though the agitated mind creates a lie to avoid the truth…

It’s unfortunate, but most people live a life consumed by a lie more so than one of truth. They believe they’re living by truth, but upon further investigation this fallacy can be seen. On the outside the lie seems so much better and this is what keeps a person locked into it, but this is only because of one’s conditioning that makes it seem better. The truth makes one look at themselves and all sorts of things arise when this happens, so without this understanding the truth will be avoided as if it was a plague. Becoming aware of the lies so truth can be revealed is essential in understanding oneself. Sit with the assumption that you will sit in stillness and watch how little stillness there is. Just sit and be with whatever is there, that’s where stillness is. When the mind isn’t looking for anything but what’s there, it’s still.

Only an agitated mind needs to create a lie, only with being with the agitation does the mind settle. This doesn’t mean one doesn’t make changes, but when changes aren’t necessary the mind is settled. This is why I don’t share about positive versus negative, because if it’s negative and you want something positive, it’s no different than if you are positive and you don’t want anything negative. An agitated mind is a mind that needs things to be a certain way whether it’s positive or negative. This is the agitated lie, the truth is nothing needs to be different and one’s mind will settle when life is accepted as it is, positive, negative, or neutral…

Stagnant Emotions

Nothing from the outside either real or made up truly controls you regardless of the injustice. It’s the stagnant emotions attaching to what happens that cause certain behaviors to arise…

Staying with the flow of what arises in our daily life has immense value in the process of waking up from the sleep of unconsciousness. What happens if awareness isn’t expanded upon is the arisen emotions become stagnant and controls you; they become the master and you the slave. The stagnant emotions is what causes one to react to life in the way that they do. Nothing from the outside truly controls you regardless of the injustice. It’s the stagnant emotions attaching to what happens that causes one to behave in a certain manner. When one awakens, the attachment to emotions lessens and their control lessens. My mom was 85 when she died, to say I will felt no emotions is ludicrous. But I don’t have to have stagnated emotions and turn them into suffering of grieving. Same thing if something is done that makes you mad, feel being mad, but let being mads energy to keep flowing, don’t attach to it and stagnate it so anger arises, this way you remain in the flow of life.

This is how it is with all our emotions, fear becomes crippling when it becomes stagnant and takes you over. It’s doesn’t mean things won’t scare you, but it’s doesn’t have to be given the energy that turns it into fear. This applies to any emotion you become attached to, it stagnates the associated emotion and there’s no telling what behavior will arise. I guarantee you, it’s not going to be a behavior that has love flowing as its base. Emotions will arise, it’s the way the brain seems to be wired, but our energy doesn’t have to give them more power than they’re worth. We can cry our tears, or be fearful of the future. We can dislike that things aren’t going the way we think they should be, but the bottom line is it’s only when the emotions get stagnant that they are given the energy to stop the flow of truly living life and not cause not only our own suffering, but the suffering of all beings…

Thought Control

It’s imperative to learn to be aware of your thoughts because if what you do comes from a labeled place, this label produces the bondage of a blind thought which controls you like a puppet on a string…

If there isn’t awareness of your own thoughts to decipher which ones are truly beneficial, hold on because you’ll be taken on the ride called life. Not that life does anything directly to anyone, but thoughts arise and they determine what kind of ride you will be on. Being aware of your thoughts is essential if you’re not to be controlled by them. Thoughts are a natural part of life, they will arise. As far as I know there’s no way of controlling what thought arises. I have found that being aware of them allows for a split second hesitation that can be used to decipher whether or not the thought is beneficial. And remember, attachment to any thought causes suffering no matter how it’s labeled.

The Conditioned Mind is diabolical and unless there’s some awareness of how controlling your thoughts actually are, they will control you as if you were a puppet on a string. So subtle is this control that even if you are doing things that are labeled as loving, the label will eventually control you. And remember bondage is bondage regardless of what label is applied to the thought. This is why the Conditioned Mind is diabolical because of its subtleness in using whatever it can to remain in control. This is also why it’s imperative to learn to be aware of your thoughts because if what you do comes from a labeled place, this label produces the bondage of a blind thought which controls you like a puppet on a string…

Truth Within

When one awakens there’s a shift that opens your heart which allows the truth within to surface. When this occurs where you were once blind you now see…

People think they change when they learn something new, but the essence of what is truly happening is there’s a discovery of what has always been there. It’s not really a change that occurs, it’s a shift from delusional thinking, with the shift being an understanding of the true nature of life starting with your own mind. You cannot know truth if you don’t know yourself, and you cannot know yourself if you don’t know your own mind. This reason why it’s so difficult for the heart to open so you can live differently is because the mind will not settle down without a struggle. It will tell you to do just enough to get by in life as long as it’s pleasurable or it will tell you not to do anything because you’re okay as you are.

Self investigation is not pleasurable especially when it’s first started, that’s why many are hesitant to do it. It’s much easier and pleasurable not to investigate and do what’s familiar, but there are only benefits when an honest self appraisal is done. A step into the unfamiliar will need to be taken so you can get to know the truth of who you are.

The mind defaults naturally to what’s familiar because it’s the conditioning in place. An honest self appraisal allows for truth to be revealed and rise to the surface; this is how truth becomes what‘s familiar. When truth is what’s on the surface what happens is the veil of ignorance is removed and where you were once blind you now see. It’s not a change, it’s a shift that allows truth to be revealed, but you’re only seeing what has always been there…

Blurry Eye View

Although what occurs now happens now, when it’s seen through blurry eyes it’s not seen as it actually happens. You can’t be present for the present until your blurry eyes clear up…

Living from blurry eyed past energy isn’t something that jumps out at you; the view lingers in place waiting for its opportunity. It doesn’t have to be glaring, nor do the blurry eyed energy patterns always manifest as totally destructive action. It’s destructive because it doesn’t allow you to be with what’s occurring right now. It takes you away from truly living your life. You end up living the same life over and over, doing the same thing, getting the same results. Basically it’s as if you’re stuck in a rut which only gets deeper each time the blurry eyed view is grabbed and brought into the present. You can’t be present for the present when the blurry eye energy is being used to live now. Much quietness will be needed to see how the blurry eye view is in control.

The blurry eyed energy patterns are very subtle and are deeply ingrained. Noticing this is the first step in one’s liberation from this energy. This energy is so controlling because it’s brought into the present and blocks the ability to truly see. Not many actually see the moment of what’s actually occurring. Although what occurs now happens now, it’s mostly seen through blurry eyes so one isn’t with what is actually happening now. There’s so much blurry energy and only in awareness of this can the blurry eyes even begin to clear up. Watch the mind and how it constantly uses the blurry eye energy. How you can tell something is blurry is by the label being applied to the present moment because when it’s all said and done, the present moment needs clear eyes to see…

Attached Relations

The attached relation reaching for God is no different than the attached relation reaching for Heroin. Although this reaching will produce different results, the attached relation is the same…

Attached relations to what’s occurring determines the energy you will live by. This is because the attached relations are tied into your emotions, which is what gives them life. It’s never truly about what’s occurring, it’s always the attached relation to it that determines what one will do next. Using the example of food shows how prevalent this is. Food is needed to live, but how about dessert? See how the attached relation to dessert makes the emotion of delight arise. Nothing inherently has any substance to it. If we didn’t have tastebuds our eating habits would be very different and this would be because the attached relation to pleasure wouldn’t arise and manifest in the need to be satisfied. Without tastebuds we would eat when we were hungry, not to say that we don’t now, but I know in my case food and especially dessert is mostly used for the fulfillment of pleasure. I don’t eat food that I don’t like and I definitely only eat dessert for pleasure. The attached relation we have to things determines how strong the grip is.

Look at some of the most glaring labeled addictions in our society and see why many don’t break free from their hold. The attached relation to anything being used as a coping mechanism runs deep. But what’s not understood are the less glaring ones have the same attached relations as the one’s that wreck havoc and even kill. One uses programs to break free from the attached relation to something, only to substitute it for another attached relation in the form of a program. And although the outer results are different, the same bondage to an attached relation remains in place. An attached relation to God is no different than a attached relation to Heroin. Again different outer results, but the same inner bondage exist. Until this is understood the attached relation to whatever thing the Conditioned Mind uses will keep you in bondage to whatever is being used…

Humanly Stuck

Not only is it human to err, but it’s also strictly from being humanly stuck that one attaches to wanting things different which causes one’s own suffering…

If you really want to know what the basic flaw seems to be that keeps one stuck to their own suffering, it’s attaching to our humanness to a fault. It’s not that we aren’t human or that we’ll be able to transcend our humanness, it’s more so to find a way to embrace it, but not be stuck in it. It will always be succumbing to our human side in some way that causes our suffering. It doesn’t have to be attached to, but it will take discipline so the mind settles to see this. It’s always human to want things different and it’s always attaching to the story of being human that causes suffering. This is true regardless of the circumstances.

It’s always the human side that wants something different and it’s the charade of being human that pulls one into suffering. I ordered something a shirt on line and when it was were delivered I tried it on and it didn’t fit. By my first reaction you would have thought I was going to have to go shirtless, but that wasn’t the case. I attached to it and didn’t accept the fact that the shirt didn’t fit. This is what attaching to being human does and when I saw how childish this was, the wanting things different fell away and I was able to simply send the shirt back. You can substitute the shirt with anything and you’ll get the same childish results of suffering. This is all because not only is it human to err, but it’s also strictly from being human that one attaches to wanting things different which in turn causes you to be humanly stuck to your own suffering…

Restricted Choices

Going through life without an understanding of how the mind works makes this existence much more difficult because it restricts the options. Restricting the options, restricts the choices…

We discover the cause of all suffering when we are truly able to see the thinking mind for what it is and how it creates feelings and emotions that aren’t real. They feel real because of what our association is to them, but their reality is relative to what our thinking is and the association to our identity. When this is discovered and we disassociate with this kind of thinking, we become more aligned with the Creative Intelligence of the Universe which to me is love; love is what gives us so many more options in life.

When we stop believing in the nonsense of the self created world of thought, we learn how to allow love to be our guide. This is when we will be able to see our thoughts for what they truly are, disassociate them from who we are, and separate the ones that cause suffering and aren’t beneficial to anyone; this is when our suffering ceases to exist. This is not some belief, it’s something factual, and I know this because it’s my direct experience. A thought cannot cause anything unless it’s given the energy needed to do so and this is what determines if the thought is held onto or not. The more it’s held onto, the more control it has over you. In the awareness of this is one’s freedom. It’s one’s own ignorance of this that creates one’s own suffering, and the suffering is caused by going through life without an understanding of how the mind works because it restricts your options and with restricted options you have restricted choices…

Determined Reactions

Most reactions that occur in life are predetermined and put in place by your own conditioning. So if your life isn’t lived to its fullest potential it’s your own predetermined conditioning that’s blocking it from being so…

Although things appear to be a certain way its not always as it seems. Its difficult to see beyond your own mind when predetermined conditioning is brought into play. So much of what the mind holds in storage is used at particular times and this blocks life from being truly lived. We already have in place the way things are going to be handled. Reactions are formed in this way.

Advertisement is a billion dollar industry because of this. Our presidents have people write speeches using certain words that they know are going to sway people in a certain way. Supermarkets know exactly where to place products. It’s all based on putting things in a certain place so ypur predetermined conditioning makes them more attractive.

This goes on and on because the Conditioned Mind determines it. If you had no previous conditioning none of the above methods would work. But this is not the case so one of the keys to not living a predetermined life is to a develop some way to be in the present moment. The more you’re in the present moment the more you’re with what life has to offers. When this occurs there’s a peace that passes all understanding because the predetermined conditioning that have been put in place are no longer making it appear that things are different than what they are…

Supportive Actions

Reaching is the issue not the thing reached for. Not everything one thinks is healthy and supportive is truly beneficial. It will take a very settled mind to see if what you think is supportive truly is…

Doing what’s supportive for your well being needs to be investigated to see if what you’re doing truly is supportive and not just a story of what you think is supportive. Many people play the lottery to become rich so to become rich becomes your supportive energy. Sex is often used as being supportive as is the spiritual path. Drugs, alcohol, gambling, and also their counter parts (their programs) are used as supportive energy, but as the results of these supportive energies may be different, the prison they keep you in is the same. Working out and healthy eating habits are very supportive, but many attach a story to them and negate their true support. I know many people are vegans and I have no opinion either way, but no where have I ever read that Jesus or the Buddha used this as a supportive part of their practice. All I’m saying is what I’ve found to be truly supportive needs no story nor attachment to certain results.

I can only share my experience and I’ve found reaching for anything in whatever form it takes on, is not true support. The reaching is the issue, not the thing being reached for. To me in the space of just being with what arises in the present moment is true support. Not everything you think is healthy is supportive and truly benefits your life. It will take a very settled mind to see the subtleness of the attachment to things that are deemed healthy and supportive. I say if you are reaching for something, regardless of what it is, it’s not supportive to your well being and this is because the reaching itself is the issue and it’s what keeps you in a mental prison…

Courage Needed

Looking at yourself takes the amount of courage that most people will never possess. But only because the conditioning in place won’t allow it and until life isn’t about you, your conditioning will remain…

Everyday I’m amazed at the things people are ok holding onto with the emphasis totally on satisfying themselves. This is without much consideration for anyone else and it’s strictly from an “I got to get mine” attitude. I know it’s because they know not what they do, but the suffering this causes and how it cements the conditioning in place can be truly disheartening. Notice I said can be disheartening because if you’re truly awake, there’s the understanding that the way things are is the way things are and wanting them different also cements the conditioning in place. I’m writing about this because it’s heart breaking, when you have answers and not many are willing to hear. It’s like having a cure for cancer, but nobody will listen. Without going into specifics, the conditioned unconsciousness runs so deep that people will justify doing all kinds of self destructive behavior without blinking an eye; drugs, alcohol, gambling, porn, rioting, protesting, total defiance for any authority, murder, rape, assault, and robbery and this is only the tip of the Conditioned Mind iceberg. Here is why this is, at least from my experience, it’s much easier because of the way one is conditioned to justify self destructive behavior than to look at yourself. Truly Looking at yourself takes the amount of courage that most people will never possess. But only because the conditioning in place won’t allow it and until life isn’t about you, your conditioning will remain.

I offer to talk to people to possibly assist them in waking up, but all kinds of excuses are made not to connect. I get it, but it doesn’t make it any easier to watch people suffering when there’s a way out. So this means people would rather remain in their suffering instead of going beyond it; that’s the part that’s heart breaking. I don’t say this because I’m a know it all, but I have been released from the grip of my Conditioned Mind to a degree and was provided answers to strictly share my experience with others. And how it is known that I’ve truly broken free from the Conditioned Mind, it’s because life isn’t all about me anymore…

United Mind and Body

The mind and body are the instruments we’re given to use in this mystery called life. If the mind and body aren’t in unity with each other it will make life much more difficult…

If a car is driven without the proper care and maintenance, eventually it will not work properly. It’s the same with if the mind and body aren’t taken care of, they also will eventually not work properly. Whether it’s eating, sleeping, working out, recreational activity and so on, there’s a certain way of doing things that allows both to be in harmony with life. And when there’s harmony with life there’s unity with oneself. This maximizes our ability to reach our natural potential. Nature never lies so the more things are done that are connected to nature the more natural life is. This involves all aspects of our life, garbage in equals garbage out, as love in equals love out. So if the mind and body are taken care of one will naturally be taken care of. At least to the extent that our potential can be maximized however that may be.

Life takes on an entirely different meaning when this occurs because life isn’t being lived from the mode of individuality. It can’t be because love embraces unity, it’s just the way love rolls. There’s no such thing as separation where there’s love. This doesn’t mean the entire world will love you, but the ones who have love in their heart will because they’re connected to the Universal mind and body. A person has no control how others feel about them or acts so don’t take it upon yourself that what others say is true. When there’s unity with your own mind and body, there’s a connection with the Universe because it’s from whence one came. When one is in unity from whence they came, there’s unity with the mind and body that love springs forth from because that’s the way love unites…

Being Aware

There’s so much reaching in our society because there’s so much distracted energy. You can only be the energy that’s in place so just be aware because the distracted self is never free…

There’s seeing and there’s the one who sees. With the one who sees there’s attachment to self. In the seeing alone is where there’s liberation. Even if one says there’s no one who sees, it comes from the self. I don’t profess to understand what life is all about, mostly because it doesn’t matter, but I do have a reasonable understanding of why and what happens to me. It’s mostly because the distractions that distract me from my distractions aren’t prevalent in my life; this allows openness. My manifestation is no different than anyone else’s, the mind distractions in place are. This is the difference in being the one who sees, or just seeing. The one who sees always has the attachment of seer associated with it and this is the cause behind why one suffers. There’s no attachment to just seeing because nothing is needed to see so there’s no association to the one who sees (self) so there’s no suffering; there can’t be because there’s no one there to suffer.

I know it may seem like a play on words, but it isn’t. If there’s awareness of the differences between who sees and just seeing, an understanding that can’t really be explained will arise. It happens on its own. It can’t be forced or attained from a book, although if one is ready “Bam” it will happen. I mentioned the distractions and to me that’s how one becomes ready. I don’t make anything happen to me directly, but without the daily distractions of the world it opens free flowing energy. This is where insight and wisdom come from. Intelligence isn’t wisdom, anyone can read a book and memorize what some one else writes. Wisdom arises from stillness and when there’s distractions in place, it leaves little room for anything but the energy of the distractions. Hence this is why there’s so much reaching in our society because you can only be the energy that’s in place. Awareness aware of awareness, that’s it…

A Lie is Always a Lie

A lie is always a lie. Until the root of the lie is revealed, truth will remain hidden beneath the justification caused by the ignorance of the lie…

A statement is often made “know the truth and it will set you free” but I say knowing the lie will set you free. This is my guide whenever something holds me captive. The fact that there’s some form of captivity confirms something is a lie; if it’s a lie, it can’t be truth. The lie may be justified as it often is because of one’s conditioning. If there’s an attached story to what arises and it’s being held onto, freedom is lost and the lie takes over. Simply put, if there’s no freedom it’s because there’s no truth. Whether this is a method being used, a program, objects, ideas, concepts, beliefs, religions, sex, or whatnot, the moment it becomes a dependency it pretty much guarantees it’s a lie and not truth. Truth just is, it doesn’t need a label, and because it’s never binding, that’s how you will recognize it.

If you want to understand truth, look at the lies that hold you in captivity. Truth is liberation from the lies. Many just substitute one lie with another and remain living the lie; although it is thought to be truth. Whatever holds you captive is a lie so if something has you in its grip and all you do is to exchange one lie (dependency) for another, you are still held captive. Programs do this, I know this to be factual. If you need a program to live your life, your dependent on it as if it was the very thing you have been trying to free yourself from. Dependency is a lie no matter what label it’s given. The lies of the Conditioned Mind are so subtle, truth is dismissed before it’s even investigated. A lie is always a lie. Until the root of the lie is revealed, truth will remain hidden beneath the justification caused by the ignorance of the lie…

It's Never Personal

There are different ways to handle things as they arise in life, but the key to not being controlled by them is to understand it’s not personal…

As life happens, the way those happenings are handled depends on how you relate them to yourself. The most usual way life is handled is by making it so personal that it’s attached to as if what’s happening is directly happening to you. This is very restrictive and creates much suffering because it’s made as if there’s a fault as to why it’s happening. This is also when the would’ve, should’ve, could’ve mind takes over. That there’s a you who things happen to is the conventional way of viewing life. Things do happen, but nothing truly happens to you. Nothing directly happens to you unless there’s a you who makes it personal. I’m not saying ignore what happens, but without the attachment to “I” the things that happen are allowed to be as they are without the mind creating suffering. This is not how most people handle things. The conventional thought is there has to be an emotional tie to what happens, but what’s not understood is you don’t have to suffer. This isn’t seen because of the attachment to a self that only exist in the mind.

The last few years have allowed me to go deeper within to see how suffering is created by holding onto a self that’s been programmed by the conditioning of what is considered normal. If you can’t change what occurred don’t replay it over and over. Replaying it doesn’t change it, but it does cause it to create a Conditioned Mind Pattern that doesn’t allow you to see there really isn’t a you to hold on to. If you don’t think this is true, where is this self that is so adamantly held onto? I will just say this, each day I learn a little more because without the attachment to self what happens happens, it simply doesn’t happen to me. And so to me nothing is personal, but it’s not because it’s being ignore, it’s because there’s no attachment to a self to make it all about me…

Inevitable Change

When you can truly be present for change, all resistance falls away because it’s understood change provides growth and growth allows freedom. Today can be the day that change doesn’t hold you back...

Although most change is resisted, the reason why is because it’s not understood that it’s inevitable. If you like cake you wouldn’t want to eat it every single day at every meal. Change is inevitable, but the resistance to it doesn’t have to be. Make this the day that change doesn’t hold you back. See it as the opening of a door that gets you unstuck from the complacency of what’s familiar. Let’s face it nobody really changes unless they’re forced to. The mind loves the familiar, even if the familiar isn’t the most beneficial to your life. I see it all the time in the responses to my articles. All my articles do is provide another way to look at things, but many times they’re just discounted for the view a person has in place. I lived a conditioned existence for many years so I know what I’m talking about. Not many people truly understand their conditioning so when something new is presented, the resistance to it rears its ugly head; as it’s discounted you remain locked in your conditioning.

Change is an inevitable occurrence of life, it happens constantly; consciously and unconsciously. But what’s not grasped is although the mind is conditioned to hold onto the familiar, change is needed to grow. For years I was stuck in familiar mind patterns that didn’t allow change to take place. Even when it looked as though change did happen, it was only on the surface level. Surface change is a society measurement and it’s mostly a facade. Inner change is a transformation and can’t be measured. When one can truly be present for change, all resistance falls away because it’s understood change provides growth and growth allows freedom…

What's Seen Ignorance

As long as there’s ignorance in place, this will be the operating energy of your life. This operating energy arises as what’s seen and it doesn’t allow you to see beyond it…

Often how things appear as it’s seen isn’t actually how it is. If you truly want to see what’s going on, getting beneath what is seen will have to happen. If two people are looking at same thing there are usually two different views of what’s seen, but truth is what’s beneath what’s seen. It’s the old adage, there’s two sides to everything and than there’s the truth. To stop attaching to what’s seen you need to stop labeling what is seen. Stopping the labeling process allows the mind to slow to a point where a different view opens up. It’s imperative for this to happen if the conditioning that’s been formed over the years is to lessen its grip.

The conditioning is so misunderstood and how this is known is because of the behavior that’s in place. I look to my own reactions to know this and in the process I can see it in others. This isn’t a judgement, it’s factual. Know your own mind and you will know the mind of others. This is because we are all of the same energy. Creation is the same for everything regardless of how it’s looked at. When the conditioning is seen for what it is, its energy begins to transform in a direction that allows liberation. As long as there is ignorance of this, the energy of ignorance remains as the operating energy of your life. This operating energy arises as what’s seen and takes on many forms. But the bottom line is it’s ignorant conditioning in place and it doesn’t allow you to see beyond it…
