Conditioned Wanting

Wanting is conditioned driven. It matters little to life or the Universe whether your wants are fulfilled or not. You can make up a story fulfilling your wants matters, but that’s your story…

You can want things to be a certain way, but to life this doesn’t really matter. Life isn’t a respecter of wants, it allows things for its betterment. If you’re one of the instruments which are being used in this capacity you’re truly blessed because you‘re probably assisting others in a unique way. This doesn’t make you special, but it does allow you to be free of the self-centeredness that holds most of the world in captivity. Wanting is conditioned driven, it matters little to life or the Universe whether they’re fulfilled or not. You can make up a story fulfilling your wants matters, but that’s your story not life’s. Fulfill every want in your life and at the end of it you will have exactly what you would’ve had if no want was fulfilled.

It always makes me laugh when I’m watching a baseball game and a player hits a home run. Many times it’s followed by pointing upward as if something cares more about that person as opposed to the pitcher. What happens when the other team loses, which is inevitable? I’m waiting for the day when a team loses and points downward. All this wanting means nothing to the Universe, and this is regardless if it works out or not. Things will always work out the way they work out; the Universe (life) doesn’t really care if they do or don’t. Wanting is only held onto because it’s thought to be needed, but because life isn’t a respecter of wants, suffering occurs because that’s what you not life has in place…
