Undisciplined Mind

When there’s a need to reach for something it’s because of an undisciplined mind. Until this is seen you will remain undisciplined as you seek to quiet the mind with the next thing reached for…

You will never find the peace you’re seeking with an undisciplined mind because the mind being undisciplined is why you’re not at peace. Peace is something that’s already within everyone, but because of the way our minds are undisciplined, it makes one think peace is something on the outside. Unfortunately an undisciplined mind makes the very thing you’re seeking impossible to grasp. An undisciplined mind is the reason you constantly reach for something from the outside. Until this is seen you’ll remain thinking peace is in the next thing reached for. Alcohol, gambling, drugs, sex, religion, social status, programs, therapy, self help books, politics, and on and on, this reaching is proof that the mind is undisciplined. I can’t stress this enough as the undisciplined mind has to be seen if you‘re to experience true peace in your life.

What has to happen is there has to be an understanding of the undisciplined minds inability to just be. When the need to reach for something arises the undisciplined mind takes control. This undisciplined mind creates a vicious cycle that’s very difficult to break. Disciplining the mind and being at peace isn’t something attained or achieved; by doing less (detachment) peace is experienced. Too many people get lost in the undisciplined mind trying to find peace through attachment. Since it’s something that’s already within you, the undisciplined mind creates an agitation; it becomes about finding what’s already there. This is not easy to see, but it’s why I share so the undisciplined mind can be seen for what it is; the cause of why you aren’t at peace…
