Old habit Reality

For many, old habits have way too much control over what is done today. Until this is identified and old habits are let go of, you will continue to be controlled by them as if you were a puppet on a string…

Understanding that living life today in the present as opposed to living it from old habits, is the difference in being at peace or being controlled by conditioning. When you’re living in the present you’re with true reality, not an old habit reality. When there isn’t the present reality, there’s the delusional state of old habits which makes for very little if any peace in your life.

The reality of what’s occurring in the present means if you’re reading this post, that’s reality. There’s nothing else going on beyond what’s happening right now. There may be something going on between your ears, but that’s the created delusional state of old habits (what isn’t). The bottom line is, your old habits are not the reality of what’s occurring in the present.

The mind has been conditioned to think it has to use old habits to create a life that’s better than the one that’s occurring presently; this is what keeps you from truly living life. I’m not sure why this is, but I do know it has to do with influences beyond one’s control. To me what matters is to develop a disciplined method of sitting which allows you to break free of the control of these old habit influences. Control is control so the more you’re controlled by old habits, the less reality there will be. Unless you live in the present reality, and learn how to identify old habits influences, it will be impossible to ever be free because you’ll remain under the spell of your old habits…
