Energy of Stillness

When the mind is still there’s freedom because the controlling energy of what arises has nothing to attach to so there’s nothing to control. Be Still and you will naturally be free…

It’s not that we have problems, it’s that our problems have us. It’s never what happens that cause our issues, it’s how what happens is attached to; and allowed to control you. What allows the control is attachment. It’s almost unpreventable because of the unawareness of this; the control is what can be prevented.

You might wonder how something can be prevented that you’re unaware of, but the key is in learning to still the mind. What a still mind will do for you is allow the attachment energy to pass through you; hence it won’t get to the point where it transforms into controlling energy. After all, what arises itself doesn’t control you, it can’t because it has no energy, yet. When you give it energy that’s when it grabs hold of you. Remember our default energy is stillness, that’s the energy we began life with. Only attachment to something gives energy the ability to control.

How your problems grab you can be summed up in how you allow what arises to fester and thus become the energy that controls your life. Positive, negative, to me both can be just as controlling, but stillness, the ever elusive stillness can’t be controlled because there’s nothing to attach to; that’s why the Bible states to “Be Still”. When there’s nothing to attach to there’s no controlling energy. Energy always is, the energy of attachment is controlling, the energy of stillness is freedom. This is why meditation is so valuable because discipline is developed to allow the energy of stillness to be the guiding energy of life. With stillness as the guide, we’re given control of the direction of energy in our life. So it isn’t that we have problems, but it’s in giving what arises the energy needed so that our problems have us…

Unity Energy

Unity energy comes from a sacred place, it’s not a place that’s associated with any activity, it’s a place which simply unites us all to the same energy…

In my experience unity energy doesn’t expand on its own, it needs others. Deepening a connection with others deepens unity energy which is what connects us. If unity energy connected us to each other, there would be no more hate because we would fall over each other; it’s in this space for each other that the unity of life is experienced. A smile, a warm embrace, the magnificence of love, and the deepest connection of our hearts. Loving yourself and others is the unity energy that connects humanity, these are experiences from the sacred place within.

I don’t really know what life is about, but I do understand how unity energy with others is sacred. When this is experienced it leaves one speechless. For me because of this unity energy, I have been speechless many times in the last fifteen years. I’m using the words unity energy to describe this, but words cannot truly explain it. I watch in awe as I explain what I went through to someone and see unity in their eyes, to me this is our unity energy connecting. Unity energy comes from such a sacred place, it’s not something that any human activity can make happen. When there’s unity energy with others there will be unity with ourselves and with all humanity…

Conditioned Emotions

Nothing from the outside truly controls you regardless of what it is, either real or made up. It’s the conditioned emotions attaching to what happens that causes you to be controlled…

Staying with the flow of what arises in our daily life has immense value in the process of waking up from the conditioned sleep of unawareness. What happens if one’s awareness isn’t expanded upon, conditioned emotions arise and control you; they become the master and you the slave. Conditioned emotions are what causes one to react to life in the way that they do. Nothing from the outside truly controls you either real or made up. It’s the conditioned emotions attaching to what happens that causes one to behave a certain way. When one awakens, the attachment to conditioned emotions lessens and their control lessens.

This is how it is with all our conditioned emotions, fear becomes crippling and takes you over. It’s doesn’t mean things won’t scare you, but it’s doesn’t have to be given the energy that turns it into fear. This applies to any emotion you become attached to. The associated emotion is conditioned so there’s no telling what behavior will arise. I guarantee you it’s not going to be a behavior that has love flowing as its base. Emotions will arise, it’s the way the brain seems to be wired, but our energy doesn’t have to give them more power than they’re worth. We can cry our tears or be fearful of the future. We can dislike that things aren’t going the way we think they should be, but the bottom line is it’s only when the emotions are conditioned that they’re given the energy to stop the flow of truly living life; this causes not only your own suffering, but the suffering of all beings…

Logical View

When life is viewed logically, it’s seen that things are as they are mostly because of the lack of discipline that a quiet mind provides. Logic allows the mind to settle into a state that’s pure, innocent, and free…

When we apply logic to life, it’s so much more beneficial than relying on the made up stories that defy logic. Simply stated; for all of us, a man and woman performed a deed many years ago and life began. The logic here is a deed was performed that allowed transforming energy to manifest and you were the result. Nothing magical; a condition was satisfied that allowed birth. At the start of existence there’s nothing yet developed as far as the Conditioned Mind is concerned, so we’re pretty much pure, innocent and free.

The logic here is there’s nothing yet developed for life not to be pure, innocent, and free, but as we grow older and influences begin to mold and condition the mind, the pure, innocent, and free state slowly gets replaced by the illogical conditioned influences we’re surrounded by. This is the beginning of our Conditioned Mind Patterns, and unfortunately the base of most of these influences are self-serving. So we develop a Conditioned Mind that revolves around satisfying a conditioned self that has been influenced to be this way.

The Conditioned Mind considers the logical approach as too simplistic so it can hold onto its story. The truth is, the most beneficial way to live is inward, but this only occurs if one is quiet enough to see it. If this isn’t seen the mind will use an illogical conditioned story of why living inwardly isn’t for you and your approach to life will not be from a logical view. This prevents you from returning to the pure, innocent, and free state. Unfortunately because of this, life remains based in making decisions from an illogical mind and life will remain a struggle regardless of what changes…

Love Process

If you truly want to live a life of love that’s a benefits to all beings you will have to examine the tools you are using in your process called life. Apple trees can only produce apples…

The reason we are not a world of love where we live our life to benefit each other is because the process of love isn’t being followed; we are using tools which divert us from the final result of our processes true nature, which is to love. To me, this is why the world is as it is because of the breakdown in our process to love. Through the Conditioned Mind we use all kinds of diversions that don’t follow the process to love. We use tools that are self serving so we live in a self serving world. This has to happen; remember apple trees can only produce apples. If you truly want to live a life of love that’s a benefits to all beings you will have to examine the tools you are using. Many great teachers have left us the precise tools to use so our process is one of love, but they aren’t being used by many people. All you need to understand this is to take a long hard look at the world.

You will know if you are using the correct tools by the results of your actions. Understand this, it’s the tools that are used that allow the process to be followed and make the results what they are going to be; you are a result of the process. Life is the process, you are the result. The process of life would still continue even if you weren’t here; every living thing is a part of life’s process, there are no individual ones. We are all part of the whole, it just reflects as individuality, but make no mistake the whole is affected by one’s process…

Disciplined Harmony

The development of discipline is what harmony within. Without it you will always be as you are, doing the things that you always do…

It all began when I started sitting and I did so because I understood that discipline is needed if the mind going to settle. Everyone has a physical place that’s called home, but what of a spiritual home? This is what discipline allows you to establish, a spiritual home: a place to go where the mind can be in harmony with the body and spirit. This place isn’t for a select few, it’s available to anyone who has a willingness to want to look within and change their life. The key to this is being in the exact moment that you are in.

Sitting is an anchor to the present moment and it becomes more of where time should be spent instead of looking for an outward fix; this outward fix is what takes you from being in harmony with yourself. Sitting for me is strictly done to develop discipline. It’s not done to attain a certain state, although that can occur. I don’t sit in any special position, mostly because there’s no need. The main thing for me is to find a position that’s comfortable and focus on it. I also like to use the sensation of touch as an anchor, I use the breath as well as guided meditations. The important thing for me is to just sit because each time I sit I’m developing the discipline to become more aware of the nonsense that goes on between my ears. This discipline is what brings it all together. Without it I would be as I always was, doing the things that I always did. As my mind has become more settled, being in the present moment has become second nature to me; there is no other place I’d rather be because there is no other place I can be. So I sit whenever possible and it has been at the core of why my life is as it is; in harmony with my mind, body, and spirit…

Unobstructed View

The view of satisfying yourself keeps you from seeing your own innate beauty unobstructed. This unobstructed view will only occur when your view comes from looking inward…

Although no one is more special than another, there are some who do see things more unobstructed than those with a selfish view. What makes this happen?  Although I wouldn’t label some as chosen, I will say some are more inclined to not attach to selfish desires which allows for more of an unobstructed view than if you have a view that’s mind based. I have lived two existences, one which was in the direction where there was much selfish suffering and the one I’m living now which is an unobstructed view of non attachment. The only real differences in the two views is one creates suffering and is done in ignorance and the other is lived in the awareness of ignorance. Today my view is as it is because the selfish obstructions don’t control me as they once did. They’re still there, I’m just not as controlled by it.

The unobstructed view that occurs is a by product of awareness, and as the selfish view is let go of, it opens up space to allow wisdom and insights to occur. This opening is directly linked to the letting go of selfish attachments. It’s the self that attaches and it’s the cause of all suffering. Ever so slowing when one begins to look inward the obstructions of selfishness fall away. To me this is what was revealed to the great mystics who were considered special, all they did was look inward. This looking inward is available to all, but one will have to overcome the obstructed selfish view to not be controlled by it. It’s the selfish view that keeps you from seeing unobstructively your own innate beauty and it will only be seen when you begin to look within…

False God Attachment

There are many false gods out there that are used as an idol which keeps you in a self created prison, and although it may appear that the false god creates the prison, the prison is to “I” that attaches to the idol…

There are many traps that create a prison in the world. To me, this is where this gets tricky because anything that is made into a story and is attached to is a false god because it becomes a prison to the one who is attached to the story. God is made into an idol by most people and becomes a prison although most don’t see this. Just look at the different religions and how all the followers of a particular one think their God is the right one. Many of these religions have beautiful teachings, but in the way they’re attached to it actually takes away from them. This isn’t to say there isn’t value in them, but there’s never value in attaching to something because it enforces an I am right and you are wrong idol.

I found this false god attachment happening to me yesterday, someone didn’t agree with my article so right away I felt I had to defend it. I always have to look at myself so I can identify what form my false god is taking on. I’m not saying there is or isn’t a God, this is just to show how attachment to anything becomes a prison a blocks the heart from remaining open to allow everything its freedom. False gods take over when they get control of “I” as “I” becomes your god. I am right is a god as is anything that’s reached for. The world presents many false gods disguised as attachment, until this is identified, the god of “I” will remain and so will your suffering…

Connected Hearts

The greatest gift of life is when we connect with another heart because this energy not only connects one heart, it connects many. It’s this transforming energy that makes a difference and changes the world…

What does it matter if you gain the whole world but in the process you lose the love in your heart. What happens if this occurs is you lose your connection to others and without this connection the connection to life is lost; you could be a billionaire, but you would still be lost. A person cannot truly live without a heart connection to others, they can only exist. There’s harmony with every heart when one is connected, this is the energy of unconditional love; loving with no attached expectations. There is no greater gift bestowed upon a person than connecting with another person’s heart and making a difference in their life; no material attainment compares to this.

Connecting to a heart doesn’t mean you will automatically be loved back, but if someone is truly connected to you to the core of their heart, their transformation has begun; there will be transforming energy emitted and one will never be as they previously were. Connecting to another’s heart and making a difference in their life is the greatest gift bestowed upon a person because it opens the heart energy to a deep and lasting fulfillment. This energy is not a doing of the human will trying to attain something, it’s a love that’s not truly understood, but it’s so freely given that it has to be shared. Love energy transforms hearts so when you give love and connect with someone, it makes their life different and their transforming energy of love is returned to you. This is why and how it becomes the greatest gift because there’s not only one heart connected, but many are connected. It’s this connected energy that makes a difference and changes the world…

Established Heart

When there’s unconscious blaming it’s unloving, it has to be as it’s the nature of blaming. It matters little how it’s justified and for what reason the blaming is done, all blaming separates as it arises from unconscious energy…

What’s done is done and for the most part it can’t be undone, but the cause of what’s done can be different so it’s not repeated, especially when what’s done is unloving. How this takes place is by establishing your heart so what’s done comes from a place of love more often than not. If this establishing sn’t a constant in your life a lot of what’s done will be from an unloving place of the Conditioned Mind. It may not be an intentional act that produces results that cause a glaring conflict, but a simple act of talking about someone behind their back is also unloving. Don’t blame another if you can’t cast the first stone, that’s all unconscious unloving behavior is; blaming. Conditioned Mind blaming is formed unconsciously just because of all the energy one is exposed to, it’s why establishing the heart is needed; although it has been my experience that the establishing of the heart is more of a not doing than it is a doing.

As I have become more aware of the self-centered I that was in place for so many years of my life, this awareness has resulted in an ever so slowly transformation of energy from unloving (all about me) to stillness (loving) energy. There’s really nothing to do to become more loving because it will just be another story instead of being genuine and natural. In the space of stillness where thought isn’t in control, the establishing of the heart takes place as one’s innate goodness arises; there’s no unconsciousness here. When there’s blaming it’s unloving, it has to be, it’s the nature of blaming. I don’t care how it’s justified and for what cause, any blaming arises from unloving energy. Blame not and you shall not be blamed, but if you are, with your heart established to love, it won’t really matter…

Allowing What Is

You can be with what is or you can be with what isn’t, only one is true, but either way life will be lived. The benefit of being with what is far out weighs the delusion of what isn’t…

When standing on the beach facing the ocean it seems as though the water stretches endlessly. Obviously because of what you have been taught you know this isn’t so. Those early explorers had no way of knowing what was on the other side, they simply went into the unknown. It can be scary, but there is also a certain excitement associated with the unknown, if it’s allowed. Most of the time your own inner fear will tell not to go there; remain with what you know. This knowing is limited, this is what leads to a what isn’t life. There isn’t anything wrong with this, but just understand life will never be truly experienced living this way because it will be controlled by your own what isn’t applied limits; safe is safe, but not necessarily better.

Imagine the what is joy when the early explorers discovered land after being out at sea for months. It’s not that being out at sea is needed to experience the relief of discovering land, but there is a certain what is appreciation of relief when it arises from difficulty. Joy can be experienced without the difficulties of life, but this takes much practice because of our conditioning. Joy is always there. There isn’t a special place called joy land that you discover one day and say now life is joyful. Joy is inward, people think there’s a place to experience joy, but understand wherever you go there you are. If your life isn’t joy filled, it’s not life’s fault, it’s simply because you’re with what isn’t instead of what is…

Actual Reality

Ever so slowly the Conditioned Mind loses its control when discipline is developed. It’s this discipline that allows you to be with actual reality instead of needing to make something up…

At times it’s difficult to be with actual reality because the mind constantly wants to make something up; this is the dilemma the Conditioned Mind creates. It has nothing to do with nothing, but it has everything to do with everything. Through developing certain discipline this constant needing to make something up can be tamed. Ever so slowly the Conditioned Mind will relinquish its control if discipline is developed. My writings may open some eyes, but it’s the development of discipline that allows the mind to settle which will lead to lasting insights that are used to enhance life.

Most people have tools in place that have nothing to do with developing discipline or enhancing life. The tools in place actually reinforce the conditioning which keeps one entrapped in a self created prison. With the prison being a mind that’s everywhere but the only place that truly exists; actual reality. If you’re not with actual reality, you cannot truly live life to the fullest. Of course there’s existence because you’re alive, but being alive doesn’t equate to living life to the fullest. Only being with actual reality will ensure this and only with discipline will the mind settle enough for you to be with actual reality instead of needing to make something up…

Loving Moments

Loving moments occur in the present, self-serving desires disrupt the awareness of this. Only a mind that’s settled to be present can understand a loving moment…

Sometimes it’s difficult to know what the right thing to do is. I’m not talking about clearly recognizable things, sometimes it isn’t so clear as to what should be done. It’s especially difficult when it involves other people. For myself, letting go allows me to be more focused on love; this is all part of the learning curve of letting go. It matters little what your intentions are if your reactions aren’t of love.

This learning curve should be used to stay open to expand a view of love and not get caught up in a self-serving view. Love and tolerance have to be at the forefront when others are involved. It’s not always easy to understand where others are coming from so it’s better not to judge and to try and deal with situations from a loving place. This is much easier said than done, but by practicing quietness it gets easier to decipher what the right action is. We shouldn’t be too hard on ourselves because of our Conditioned Mind, the slow process of awakening has to be accepted if there’s to be peace. On the other hand our conditioning is not to be ignored because we won’t learn from it and the same reactions will be repeated over and over again.

Although our journey may seem mundane at times, it’s only a self-serving mind that makes it seem this way; life can never be mundane. Each moment of each day is new unto itself, and when it’s lived in the present it’ll be realized what a gift life truly is. It’ll be understood what our learning curve affords us is not the mundane life of living in the past or future, but the ability to live in the present and respond to life from a place of love instead of reacting to it from a self-serving mind. The more this is done, the less mundane life will be and the more loving moments one will have for themselves and hence for all beings…
