Inner Tension

The inner tension that keeps you from your peace has nothing to do with life. The inner tension is a creation of your own mind that makes you believe you’re not at peace…

There are practical ways to minimize the inner tension that causes one to sabotage their own existence, but it has to be understood that the mind creating the tension can’t undo what it creates. You’ll have to find out why your own mind is telling you tension is needed to cope with life; a mind that is controlled by the conditioning to create inner tension. Your own mind creates all the inner tension you have by choosing to attach to thoughts that give the tension energy; this unconscious conditioning is why inner tension arises. The Conditioned Mind creates this as you do things that are destructive to your own well being. Why this inner tension is developed I’m not sure, but I do know it can be described only as insane because your own mind creates it.

I know now it was my own mind that created inner tension which arose from within myself. Because of the shift that occurred some years ago there‘s now awareness so tension isn’t created the way it was in the past. I sit for the sole purpose to develop discipline which allows the mind to settle. If there isn’t discipline, your conditioning won’t be understood nor will the reason inner tension arises. This will lead you to being led around like a puppet on a string. Life does nothing to you, it’s your own mind that creates your life. Living in a place of tension as opposed to a place of peace will never be different until the conditioning that makes it so is different. All I ever wanted was to be at peace, but it was always elusive because I wasn’t aware it was my own mind that created the inner tension that made peace elusive…

Corrupt Mentality

There’s so much of a corrupt mentality in our society today that it’s almost impossible to break its hold. The reason for this is because the thing being held onto is attached to by the corrupt mentality of “I”…

A corrupt mentality will drag you along unconsciously unless there’s some awareness that it’s happening. To me, the only thing that allows this awareness are your thoughts slowing down enough to where there’s a millisecond of space between them; in this space the pull of a corrupt mentality lessens. The only thing I’ve found that allows this space is being present. It’s very important to understand this because people sit for hours with other intentions and the moment they’re finished, the corrupt mentality returns. Understanding this is beneficial because it allows for a clear vision which keeps the mind open to honesty instead of corruption. If everything stays in the head as corrupt intellect, it will be difficult to break free from the energy of this. The more attachment there is to corrupt energy, the harder it is to pull away.

One example of this is in the Bible, the masses grew and grew as the Pharisees publicly tried Jesus. As more people were pulled into the corrupt mentality to crucify, the energy intensified. If you research some of the conquerors of the past, you will see exactly how the corrupt mentality works. As their reigns widened and their tyranny expanded, the corrupt mentality deepened. There’s so much of this energy in our society right now, and it’s reinforced daily. It’s so hard to break free of it because of the attached corrupt mentality of “I” that keeps it in place. This includes trying to help others if the corrupt mentality is focused on “I” instead of the intuitive love of the heart. Until “I” is addressed, few people will break free from the corrupt energy because the attached mentality won’t allow space between your thoughts as the energy of “I” remains in control…

Internal Source

Nothing external has ever given anyone a true answer. Answers are always provided internally. Add one plus two, where does your answer come from? Know your internal source and all your answers will be provided…

Although we look externally for answers, the source to all our answers is internal. True answers will never be provided from an external source because one doesn’t exist. Our internal source is the Universe of which we were created, so to search for answers externally is the first misstep in the delusional grasping that causes humanity’s suffering. This searching for an external source is why we reach outside for our answers. There is no source externally, that’s why we’re in a constant state of flux. We think answers are outside of ourselves, temporarily it seems as they are, but because there is no true external source our mind agitations return and so does our state of flux. When our true internal source is known, our mind agitations subside along with the state of flux.

You cannot know your true self if you don’t understand the internal source of whence you came. You will still exist, but that existence will not be based in truth. It will be based in the delusion that there’s an external source responsible for existence. Think of this, if there was no Universe you would not exist so how can anything be external from you because everything arises from the internal source. The Universe is the very nature of existence, it’s the only reason we exist. If it’s not internal then it isn’t real because creation itself is internal. The Universe is the source of all creation so creation cannot be from anywhere but the source. The source and creation are one, internal to each other; this is our existence, the internal source of all that is…

Delusional Reality

To expose your created delusions, why they’re being created needs to be revealed. If this understanding doesn’t occur, the delusions will remain which in turn will make your life a delusional reality…

The way the base of thoughts are formulated determines if what’s seen actually occurs in life or if life becomes the delusional reality of the formulated thoughts. Because of the lack of clarity of truth in most lives, this creates two realities occurring at the same. One is what’s actually occurring and the other is the delusional thoughts of what’s occurring. The more unaware you are of this, the more your thoughts use a delusional story of life instead of living a life of what’s actually occurring.

If this is how you’re living, it makes for a very unproductive existence because a delusional life is being lived; when this happens a persons entire existence is one delusional after another. Thoughts are the base of all delusions because without the belief of something (thought) it’s impossible for a delusion to exist. All delusions start with the thought they’re real, but the thought isn’t what’s actually occurring so two realities are happening at the same time. One is delusionally created (the thought) and one just is. The one you live your life by determines if it’s based in what’s actually occurring or if you’re living a delusional life created by the Conditioned Mind. There’s living your given life (what is) or there’s a delusional life. It can be a delusion created by your thoughts or it can be the reality of what is. There are always two realities to choose from, but to expose the delusional one, why it’s created needs to be revealed. If this doesn’t occur the delusion will remain which in turn makes your life a delusional reality…

Eyes Closed View

Accepting everything as it is seems like a very tall order, but the alternative is to not accept it and look at things from an eyes closed view (wanting things different) and in the process cause your own suffering…

Nothing stays the same so it’s not the changes that occur in life that throw you for a loop, it’s the eyes closed view that things will always be a certain way, this is what makes change much more difficult to accept. If everything could be accepted as it is, you would never be thrown for a loop because the eyes closed view that tells you things should remain as they are wouldn’t occur. For one to get beyond their eyes closed view, it has to be understood that it’s your own mind that’s causing it. Life is what’s seen through the way it’s created and it’s created through how it’s viewed. Why a view is considered closed is because of how the mind reacts when changes occur and it isn’t accepted. This view keeps the mind closed to the conditioning that sees things blindly; if this conditioning isn’t changed nor will the eyes closed view change. It’s not that a certain view needs to be implemented, all that’s needed is to be aware of the eyes closed thinking. Awareness is key if there’s to be change because it allows for acceptance, and when the world can be accepted as it is, good, bad, or indifferent, just maybe one will view life without an eyes closed view…

Storied Labels

Every story made to label something limits it to whatever storied label is being applied. Concepts and beliefs are storied labels that limit what the Universe has to offer…

The Universe needs no permission to do what it does. It responds to things out of necessity, and it does so unconditionally; without a story of what label to apply. It exists as it is, adding nothing because it needs nothing; the Universe is self sustaining. It creates, it destroys, it neither loves nor hates in the sense of emotions, what it is doesn’t need a story label. It’s pure energy and it’s from this energy that everything is created. This energy is existence in its purest state. The moment a storied label is applied, it loses its sense of purity.

Humans apply all kinds of storied labels to life, but life doesn’t need them, humans do. The place of non labelled attachments is the only true place of existence; it’s in this place, in the midst of the Universe that our true essence is. It’s a place that is here, there, and everywhere, but not because of a storied labeled. Stillness exists as life. If a storied label is needed, apply it, just understand it limits. Once a storied label is applied it creates resistance. If a storied label is needed, make it to be about the unlimited space of what the Universe puts in front of you. The Universe is within each and every person. It’s where everyone arises from, but it’s a storied label that limits the awareness of what the Universe has to offer…

Holding On Limits

The incessant need to hold onto things limits life. Understanding this allows for the awareness of exactly what’s there instead of the thought of what’s there…

Most of what happens in life is unexplained, but that doesn’t stop the mind from holding onto things. I have found the unexplained is best left alone because an answer wouldn’t really enhance life. As things occur, what’s held onto is associated with existence, but only if they’re allowed to control your life like a master puppeteer. Most people hold onto the incessant need for labels, but understanding something is different because it allows for the awareness of exactly what you’re up against (your own mind). This awareness allows the mind to settle and lessen the need for holding on which isn’t truly needed. Holding onto addiction doesn’t stop one from being an addict, but an understanding of addiction may; as a matter of fact this is exactly what happened to me.

The Universe holds onto nothing in its process so nor do the origin of our thoughts need to be held onto. The understanding of how thoughts are held onto and what behaviors manifest from the holding on is the difference between being at peace with life or struggling with it. Some will disagree with this and it’s their right, but I know by understanding my behavior and how it was based to self-serve. It gave me something tangible to use to see how much control my Conditioned Mind had over me. Past tense is used on purpose because its control is much less today. Holding onto why this occurred doesn’t enhance the ability to be free of the Conditioned Mind, but an understanding of this certainly does. It’s through the discipline of sitting that the mind can settle enough to become aware that holding onto what happens in life will not enhance it in the way understanding your own mind will…

Disguised Hole

The Conditioned Mind creates a lie disguised as a hole, this hole is a lack of love. Until this is realized, one will constantly need to reach for something to try and fill this disguised hole even though it doesn’t truly exist…

For many years I had a disguised hole in me that was created from a lack of love. That’s why I constantly reached for things to fill it; I have since come to understand this. This disguised hole isn’t a true hole at all, it’s emptiness; this emptiness is the essence of love. It’s where life truly happens when one is busy making other plans. By not understanding this, I spent most of my life trying to fill a disguised hole with whatever I could get my hands on. This is an endless list as to what can be used, so each individual has to investigate for themselves what that is. It’s ironic though because now much of my life is spent in the space that for so long was disguised as a hole; the truth of this has been revealed to me.

This disguised hole is the reason why someone reaches for anything and wants life to be different. If this was understood for what it truly was, humanity would be much different because contentment would be the way of the world. The hole is a disguised lie of the Conditioned Mind and it keeps one constantly needing the present moment to be different so it keeps you reaching to fill it. This will need to be understood if the reaching is to ever end. When it is understood, the disguised hole transforms to love because the present moment doesn’t need to be different. When the present moment doesn’t need to be different, life reveals its true essence which doesn’t ever need to be filled with anything because the disguised hole is seen for the lie that it truly is…

Engulfing Stories

Do what you think you need to do, but any doing is actually an undoing because it keeps the mind in an engulfing story, and as long as the mind is doing the view will never be clear…

It may be better if you did less in your life if what you are doing is putting your mind in an engulfing state; only when the engulfing stories stop will the mind be clear. When the mind is in an engulfing state, it becomes stirred up and it’s very difficult to see what’s really happening. This engulfing can be identified as what you think is needed to make you complete; you see when the mind is settled, the view is clear. When the mind becomes stirred up it becomes engulfed and all kinds of stories are created about what’s needed to make you complete. Reading another book may be used, another 12 step meeting, another person to help, losing another pound, more money, and on an on. So many things are used that cause an engulfed mind; the truth is nothing is needed because you’re as complete as you will ever be right now; in the clarity of a settled mind is completeness.

Engulfing stories are created because of the conditioning that’s in place. Clarity will never be as long as one thinks there is something needed to do that will make you complete. Doing only keeps the engulfed mind from settling; the more one does the more engulfing there is. Do whatever you think you need to do, but understand there will never be clarity until there’s no more engulfing stories. Be the light, be the instrument to spread love, be whatever you want, but this doing is actually an undoing because it keeps the mind in an engulfed state, and as long as engulfing stories are created, the view will never be clear…

Impact of Speech

Speech has a lot of impact on the way you perceive yourself. The speech that is chosen can reinforce the lies of the Conditioned Mind if there isn’t awareness of your internal dialogue…

The energy in one’s life would be so much different if have was substituted with the word want. Think about it, our speech has much more influence on our life than most people are aware of. Just try this little exercise and see how different our speech is when want is substituted for have. I have to get up for work, or I want to get up for work. I have to go food shopping or I want to go food shopping. One more, I have to shovel the snow once it stops or I want to shovel the snow once it stops. The same action is being done, but its meaning is so different when want is substituted for have. The burden of having to do something is lifted when one wants to do something.

My speech is something I’m pretty cognizant of, it’s one of the reason I often say “When you start a sentence with “I“ stop because not much good is going to come out of it. This is one of the reasons I don’t attend 12 Step meetings any longer because at many of them you have to introduce yourself by stating I am this or that. To me, the speech of stating I am this or that keeps you in the energy of the problem, not in the energy of the solution.

Speech has a lot of impact on the way one perceives themselves, it unconsciously reinforces the lies of the Conditioned Mind if there isn’t awareness of the speech being used. Energy always is and where it’s directed is what your life becomes. Here’s one more example, I want to help others. This is a lot different than saying I have to help others, although helping others is always a good thing. When you want to help others as opposed to having to do it, it truly comes from a heart of love. Using the most beneficial speech takes practice, developing awareness of the controlling energy of your life also takes practice. So watch what is said and how it is said and maybe instead of having to do things, you just may want to do them. Not because your “I” wants to, but because it’s the loving energy of the speech in place…

 

Past Attachments

Understanding past attachments is very important in breaking the chains of suffering because it’s the attachment to “I“ that wants to only remember past pleasures…

Past attachments of how we remember things and constantly bring them into the present is simply that, an attachment. Although this happens without it being realized, when it is realized, it changes the way existence is viewed. Past attachments distort how things truly are because they’re viewed through the conditioning in place; conditioning that mostly attaches to constantly seeking pleasure. Think of this, you don’t go to a restaurant and order something you don’t like. This is a past attachment in place and until it’s realized, life is spent constantly seeking a past pleasure; the mind doesn’t like past unpleasantries so it attaches to anything it remembers as pleasurable. This is part of the survival instinct ingrained in us. Those who remember painful events also use them to find something pleasurable, even if to just push them away, hence this is also why one attaches to the outside for comfort.

Nobody attaches to anything for any other reason but to provide comfort, in this comfort seeking there’s so much unconscious suffering. Comfort pleasure, pleasure comfort, these two go hand in hand and until this is understood they’ll continue to cause unconscious suffering. Understanding the past attachments is very important in breaking the chains of bondage because it’s the attachment to “I“ that makes only wants to remember what’s pleasurable. Even to the point of its own destruction “I” attaches to pleasure, just look in any rehab or detox. Every drug or drink of alcohol taken had the attachment of pleasure associated with it or it wouldn’t have be taken. Understanding this isn’t limited to just those things, this goes for anything that’s reached for. The mind defaults to what’s familiar and it attaches to anything seen as pleasure. Until this is realized, you will continue to attach to the past that constantly looks for pleasure…

Surface View Limit

If you only see things on the surface it limits your view of life because it doesn’t allow for any other results except those from that surface limit…

Having more than a surface view is what makes life different, but it doesn’t make what happens in life different, it only makes the view of what happens different. If you’re locked into a surface view, this only allows the surface limit of the way things are. To me, the more a view is based in the intellect, the harder it is for there to be a shift to see things beyond the surface view. Not that there’s anything inherently wrong with the intellect, it just doesn’t allow for much openness. When one sees things on the surface, it limits life to that one view. Most times this happens when the view isn’t even your own, it’s formed from someone else’s opinion, teaching, book, video, or discussion.

Being fixated on a surface view limits the results to that one view; think about how limiting this truly is; no possibility of another way. Always going down the same path, never allowing anything new. This is so limiting, if you only see things from the surface this will not be seen. Sitting and developing discipline so the grip of the mind lessens can assist in possibly altering a surface limited mind set, but there has to an inkling there’s another view beyond the surface. It’s not that the surface view is wrong, it’s just that seeing things from this one way has limits which in the process doesn’t allow any other results except those from that surface view limit…

A Loving Reality

A loving reality can only be understood by a mind that goes beyond its conditioning to make the world fit nicely into a limited box of space and time…

The limited box of space and time is our so called comfort zone. The more we stay in this box, which is the world of thought, the more we limit ourselves to a base of Self (our ego). It isn’t that we truly understand everything when our mind becomes quiet, but we stop questioning the external and start looking within which allows us to live our life the way it was intended; as the loving beings that we are. This allows for the shift from a self-serving existence to one of love. This doesn’t mean we get answers to the great secrets of the Universe, what we get is an understanding of our Conditioned Mind and how it was developed.

Once the Conditioned Mind is understood, there’s awareness of what blocks love from being the default setting of your mind. With this awareness you’ll learn to control a mind that has been out of control for most of your life. When you have this control which manifest as quietness, there won’t be a need for answers because you’ll see the loving reality beyond your questions providing you with all the answers that are needed…

Hearing the Moment

We live an existence torn between hearing the moment of the Universe or attaching to the sounds of the world. By being aware of the first part, the energy necessary that prevents the second part naturally occurs…

The selfish and destructive Conditioned Mind behavior that was in control for most of my life has settled in a place of neutrality for the most part. I would never say the conditioning is gone forever because by attaching to it as so would give it the needed energy to return. It’s very important to see the present moment as being the point of contact that connects you to the world. We live an existence torn between hearing the silence of the moment or attaching to the sounds of the world. By being aware of the first part the energy necessary to prevent the second naturally occurs; truth settles in stillness.

You will never stop the sounds of the world so there will never be an entire world of love. You can however hear your own heart and not be a part of the world’s noise. This is done by keeping your own house in order instead of being drawn to the world noise and trying to change everything else. When you are mindful of your own conditioning and have awareness of the place where there’s a connection to the world, this is the space where the world is offered your true self. But make no mistake, this doesn’t occur by trying to change the world or by ignoring its sounds, it simply happens by hearing the moment of the Universe beneath all the noise the world offers…

Thinking Distraction

Thinking will arise, but it doesn’t have to control you. If there isn’t awareness of your thinking, it will be a distraction and you will automatically be led by it…

If there isn’t awareness of your thinking, there won’t be anyway of knowing how it distracts you and how you are led by it. Without this awareness you’ll be distracted and your life will be a distracted ride. Not that life does anything directly to anyone, but thinking does arise and it determines what kind of ride you will be on. Awareness of your arisen thinking is essential if you’re not going to be distracted by it. Thinking is a natural part of life, it will arise. To me, there’s no way of controlling the thinking that arises, but I have found that awareness of it allows for some space that can be used to determine whether or not the thinking is a distraction and leads you; remember it’s the distracted attachment to thinking that causes suffering not the thinking  itself.

The Conditioned Mind is cunning. Unless there’s some awareness of how much you’re being led by your distracted thinking, it will and this has to happen, lead you around as if you were a puppet on a string. So subtle is this that even if you think you’re doing things that are labeled as good, if this thinking isn’t watched, it will eventually control you. Remember control is control regardless of what label is applied to the thinking. This is why the Conditioned Mind is cunning because of its subtleness in using whatever it can to distract and lead you. Thinking will arise, but you don’t have to be distracted by it. If there isn’t awareness of this, your thinking will be a distraction and you will automatically be controlled by it…

Thinking Trap

When you think you need something to provide peace, you’re trapped by this thinking. Until this is understood, you’ll remain trapped in thinking that peace is outside of you…

There will never be peace in your life as long as you’re trapped in thinking peace is outside of you. Peace is something that’s already within everyone, but because of the way our minds are conditioned, we get trapped thinking peace is something to find. Unfortunately thinking is what makes the very thing you’re seeking elusive. Thinking is the reason one is constantly reaching for something outside, until this thinking is no more, you’ll remain trapped thinking peace is in the next thing reached for. This can’t be stressed enough as thinking trappings have to be seen if you’re to ever experience true peace.

Thinking of being at peace isn’t peace. What has to happen if peace is to ever be experienced is there has to be an understanding of how thinking traps you. The reason why peace is elusive is because of the inability to be aware of this. When the need to reach for something arises, becoming trapped by thinking begins; this is a conditioned cycle that’s very difficult to break. Peace isn’t something that can be manufactured so it’s in doing less that peace arises. Many get trapped in trying to find peace, but since it’s already within, the thinking associated with finding it needs to be discarded so you can uncover the reason why you’re trapped in thinking you’re not at peace…

Love-Serving Energy

Everyone has the responsibility to make the world a better place by being aware of the energy that’s in control of their life. Self-serving energy doesn’t benefit anyone, but love-serving energy benefits our entire human family…

Although in 1987 I stopped using certain substances as a developed solution to cope with life, many of my inner conflicts persisted because I didn’t understand the true nature of my malady. I had no knowledge whatsoever as to why I constantly reached outside myself for a solution, and why these solutions were developed. I found this reaching was caused by the need to fulfill a self created inner sense of lack; a lack I didn’t even know was there. In the book “It’s Monday Only in Your Mind” it’s explained what causes this, and why anything has to be reached for in the first place. Also described is a path that leads to the discovery of inner truth; a truth that leads to the freedom from this lack. I’ve learned as human beings we are really in conflict with ourselves and we don’t understand where these conflicts originate from.

I discovered it was my own mind, which had been conditioned to constantly self-serve that made me look for answers out there somewhere; this is the root cause of our conflicts. It’s a mind that leads one around like a puppet on a string. I have found through self investigation a practical gateway to freedom that anyone can learn. There’s a reason the world’s in the condition it’s in. We all need to pull together to become aware of this and share the love in our hearts. We are the change the world needs, but it will only occur when it’s understood that love for others has to come first. Everyone has the responsibility to make the world a better place by looking at the energy that’s in control of their life. If it’s self-serving energy, it will not benefit anyone, but if it’s love-serving energy, it will benefit our entire human family. After all, earth is the planet we all share…

Light Gateway

The Conditioned Mind is grounded in darkness, this is why most people don’t see the light gateway. The light gateway is always there, but it needs to be noticed so one can turn towards it and allow it to transform…

All light is an opening with transforming properties, that’s why when one sees the light gateway, they’re transformed. Look at a plant, it begins as a seed, it has potential, but it’s still only a seed. You can put it in soil, water it and give it all the nutrients possible, but without a source of a light gateway, the transformation from seed to plant will not occur. This transforming light gateway is the source of most of life, there are exceptions to this rule as with deep sea creatures or those in caves, but for the most part the light gateway transforms. Go into a dark room and turn on the light gateway, there’s an instant transformation of the room. The walls come alive with color, the furniture and design of the room are also intensified. Without the light gateway the room still exists, but its vibrance is hidden.

When one wakes up to experience this hidden vibrance, it’s the lights gateway that transforms just as it is with a plant or a room. You can be in the dark your entire life, but once there’s a light gateway, the darkness is gone. It may return somewhat because of one’s conditioning, but it will never be as dark as it once was. It can’t because there will always be some light. This light gateway reveals truth, (one’s internal energy of love) and it’s impossible to completely turn it off. As stated before it will turn off only because of one’s darkness conditioning, but this light gateway is always on beneath the conditioning because light is the source of our existence and the true essence (love) of who we are. The Conditioned Mind is grounded in darkness and the world is the way it is because not enough people see the light gateway. The light gateway is always there, it just needs to be noticed so one can turn towards it and allow it to transform…

Heart Energy

Heart energy is always waiting to be aligned with it. When it’s understood this energy is the stillness beneath all your stories, you can stop and align with it and thus align with life itself…

We’re not always aligned with the heart energy the Universe provides for us; this is our misfortune. It’s not that we can’t always be aligned with it, but we have to do the things that allow it to be aligned with. Our alignment is in relation to how much we hold onto a self that tries to control life; this control is thought based. Although certain aspects of life need to be controlled, it’s the parts that are beyond our control which we insist on controlling; this blocks out awareness to heart energy.

There’s a part of us that’s the self who is controlled by the senses. This is the human aspect (thought based) of who we are. There’s a self that‘s beyond the senses, that’s beyond anything physical, beyond any thought process, this is the self of no mind. This self can’t be conceptualized, it’s energy beyond form; this is heart energy in its purest state. It’s only our thought process that needs to make things solid so it can have something to grasp and make sense of, this is the energy of what a thought is. Beyond thought is pure Universal Energy, it’s who we are before our existence in this form begins and when conditions no longer allow this form to exist and it ends.

Thoughts are energy, but this energy isn’t pure because it has attachment added to it, it’s based in the senses. To go beyond these sense thoughts, you must go beyond their attachment. This will be when you’re in alignment with heart energy. It can be called many things, but words are not needed to understand this. Actually words will hamper the availability to heart energy because words themselves are a form of thought. When you learn to just be and not attach to anything to make up the story of who you are (a thought) that’s when you’ll understand who you truly are; thoughtless, formless, pure energy, this is the state of no mind that leads to aligning with heart energy…

Changing Thoughts

Thoughts that aren’t aware of themselves can’t change themselves. It’s through the quietness of the heart that one can change the thoughts that hold the mind captive…

A do it yourself self help mentality to a better life is like having directions to one place, but a trip to another place is planned. The directions have purpose, but their usefulness is limited. To me, self help methods and programs produce these same useless results. We are constantly trying to arrange life thinking we can change ourselves by trying to fill an inner void with all kinds of things from the outside, and regardless of the fix the void never gets filled. This is not some theory I made up, it‘s factual because this is exactly what happened to me. Look around and you’ll see how the world is full of people doing this same exact thing; if you are truly honest with yourself you’re probably doing it too.

Think of this, the mind that creates the need for self help is the same mind that’s going to be used to change it; this isn’t feasible. If this mind didn’t create a problem to begin with, the need for self help wouldn’t be required. It’s like rotating a flat tire, putting the flat side on top, and expecting the flat to be repaired. Something that’s broke cannot be used to change itself. It would take a miracle for this to happen; if you want to rely on miracles so be it.

Another thought to be aware of is doing something and asking yourself why it was done? Understand the thought that told you to do it is the same thought that’s now questioning it; this is the thought that self help relies on. There’s no wonder humans are in the state we’re in. Humans have created the way the world is and the same humans are trying to change it, and get this, with the same thoughts that made the world the way it is. Thoughts that aren’t aware of themselves can’t change themselves. It’s through the quietness of the heart that one can change the thoughts that hold the mind captive; something to think about…

Beneficial Tools

Are the tools you have in place truly beneficial to allow you to love yourself unconditionally and thus love all beings? The key word here is all, not just a select few…

For many years I did things that I considered beneficial for my wellbeing. After forty nine years of doing this, I found myself at such a low point that wasn’t sure if I was going to rise up. There was no I think I can chants, no positive thinking, no meditation, no loving myself. There was much confusion and despair, and the insanity of this was my own mind that developed these tools and deemed them beneficial. Now I know not many get to this place of total despair so it’s difficult to understood how low I was, but I will say this, I’m fortunate beyond words and I will tell you why. When I was twenty eight years old I was hanging in a bar in Newark NJ with eight men. All of us were using alcohol and drugs as beneficial tools, seven of those individuals are dead. What’s tragic about this is the tools that each of them accepted as beneficial for their wellbeing were the cause of their death. Think about how insane this is and how often this is repeated today; insanity to say the least.

When I look back today at what I thought were beneficial tools for my wellbeing, I see nothing but this insanity. I alone, although not intentional, caused all my own suffering. Now you may not think this applies to you, but every self destructive thought one ever has comes from within yourself. It may have been put there by some outer influence, but it was attached to by you and you saw it as beneficial to give it the energy to manifest. I’m not a big on negative/positive, my experience is more in line with quietness as a beneficial tool. There’s a question you should ask yourself if you can muster the courage to do so. Are you willing to truly face yourself to see if the tools you have in place are beneficial to allow you to love yourself unconditionally and thus love all beings? If not, a new set of tools are needed…

Internal Light

The internal light is the true essence of all beings. The only reason there’s darkness is because the light is looked for externally. When there’s awareness of your internal light, it instantly replaces darkness…

There needs to be awareness of the internal light of the heart so the dark places of the mind dissipate. The internal light is always there just waiting to replace darkness, it never leaves. When you live from the mind, the thought realm is allowed to take over and it becomes very difficult to have awareness of the internal light. This internal light is what turns away the darkness of an unconscious state; this unconscious state is the world of external answers. As long as answers are sought externally, darkness will remain. Darkness creates a world that’s mind based, this is what blocks awareness of internal light. It doesn’t allow for the pure essence of life to be recognized. It holds onto the belief that life is to be managed so it can be a certain way, but even if the way occurs, darkness remains because it’s mind based.

The internal light on the other hand is of the heart. When seen, it replaces the darkness without effort; as when entering a room and the light is turned on the darkness is no more. That’s all that’s needed, the light needs to be noticed. The internal light always replaces darkness, unless one’s bulb is burnt out; our path is to make sure the internal light is always noticed regardless of the surrounding darkness. As your light remains lit, more people will see it and be drawn to you. When this occurs it will draw others to you as the internal light expands. My hope is maybe one day there won’t be any darkness to replace because everyone will see their internal light…

A Created Identity

Creating an identity is all part of the Conditioned Mind with life setting the stage for it to be played out. In silence you’re still on stage, but a created identity isn’t needed…

Most of the things that are reached for throughout life are used because of a created identity. It’s as if you’re on stage and your identity is being created from unknowing conditioning; taking on whatever the assigned identity you think is needed at the time. Each person studies their lines and creates their identity in whatever way their conditioning has been developed; there are many roles used in creating an identity. This created identity is associated with the things reached for to make your part in the play more pleasurable; not many want to be in a play where everyone sits around in silence. It would seem there is needed drama for life to be more pleasurable; this is the created identity of the Conditioned Mind.

Only in silence can life be lived to the fullest. Without a created identity you’re still present on the stage of life, but you’re not controlled by the rehearsed conditioning. It’s this conditioning that creates a need for an identity. In silence with the stage already set, an identity doesn’t have to be attached to nor do you need to create one in the puppet show of a conditioned life…

Irrelevant Cravings

The Conditioned Mind creates a view based in fulfilling irrelevant cravings. It’s difficult to break free of this because irrelevant cravings are reinforced daily. A mind aware of this is aware of awareness…

To me, life struggles have nothing to do with life, it’s a view based in irrelevant cravings that cause struggles; this is because this view is controlled by the Conditioned Mind. When irrelevant cravings are fulfilled and things are going your way there’s not much of a struggle; life is considered good. When things are going the way that you want, what causes your struggles are pushed aside. When this is done it makes the base of life centered in irrelevant cravings as you get pulled around by the Conditioned Mind like a puppet on a string.

The more this occurs the more suffering there is in your life. Sometimes it’s very subtle, but it’s there. As a matter of fact even if you’re not aware of being controlled by your irrelevant cravings, they still produce suffering. The suffering doesn’t occur because you don’t get your way, it occurs just by being in a state where the irrelevant cravings of the Conditioned Mind are in control.

The less the irrelevant cravings (which is just wanting what you want, when you want it) are the base of your view, the less you struggle with yourself and with life. This is simply because irrelevant cravings aren’t in control. When you’re unaware of this, the Conditioned Mind creates chaos by irrelevant cravings; there’s immense suffering in this. Practice being in a space of no mind, with no mind there is no irrelevant cravings. When you don’t have irrelevant cravings you don’t want, and when you don’t want you don’t entertain energy that causes suffering; a free mind is energy free of irrelevant cravings…

Circular Energy

The present moment is naturally free flowing when there’s no resistance trying to make it different than what it is. Circular energy of the Conditioned Mind stops the flow because it’s based in trying to manipulate what is…

Being mindful of what’s actually happening at the precise moment it arises minimizes the circular energy of the Conditioned Mind that’s used as a distraction to make life the way you think it should be. Mindfulness stops this circular energy by allowing the freedom of the way it is, this becomes the beautiful accepted view of the way it should be. After all, wanting the present moment different is where all the Conditioned Mind distractions arise from. When you’re simply mindful of what arises as it arises, there isn’t a need for a story so your selfish nature doesn’t come into play. As this occurs the love of the heart naturally becomes the default operating energy of life.

Our selfishness become a created prison because it doesn’t allow for the natural flow of life’s energy; we become embedded in the circular energy of the Conditioned Mind. It’s the Conditioned Mind that cuts off the energy flow as it becomes the circular energy of a lower vibration. Why this circular energy causes issue is because it bombards the present moment with an unnatural energy flow which doesn’t allow harmony. The present moment is naturally free flowing because there’s no resistance of needing anything different than what’s there. Circular energy stops the flow because it’s based in trying to manipulate what’s there’s so what’s there is resisted to the point where the natural flow of present moment energy is cut off. The only thing needed for liberation is the awareness of being aware. There’s no circular energy of the Conditioned Mind here, there’s just the present moment energy of what’s actually there…
